Hasta que llegue el día (Until the Day Comes)

The brothers Manu and Bento leave Portugal and cross the Atlantic in search of a better life in the New World, as they have suffered the ravages of the plague and poverty. Meanwhile, in an African village, a family is captured by slave traders and shipped as merchandise to America. Their lives, along with those of the natives, will intersect in Brazil, where the cultures of the three continents will begin to merge.
