My name is Rosana Mesa and I was born in Xalapa, Veracruz, where I studied Visual Arts with a specialty in Painting at the Universidad Veracruzana. Afterwards, I did a master’s degree in Aesthetics and Art at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. Within my training as an illustrator, I have also taken various courses with recognized illustrators such as Gerardo Suzán, Javier Sáez Castán, Roberto Innocenti and Antonio Santos. My work has been selected in the XX, XXI and XXII Catalogs of Illustrators of children and youth publications of CONACULTA, obtaining an honorific mention. I participated in the 24th Bratislava Biennial of Illustration, in BIB Japan and the Sharjah International Book Fair in the United Arab Emirates. I have illustrated books for various publishers including Editorial Castillo, Esfinge, El Naranjo, CIDCLI, Secretary of Culture and Sexto Piso.
